Khachanov Reaches the US Open Semi-Finals in His Own Cvstos Signature Watch
Karen Khachanov has reached the semi-finals of the 2026 US Open — and he has done it with a watch that carries his own name on the case back: the Cvstos Challenge Purity K. Khachanov Carbon.
The Russian-born world No. 16 came through his quarter-final at Flushing Meadows to reach the last four, matching his best run at the tournament. On his wrist for the fortnight has been the black-carbon signature piece he developed with Cvstos founder Sassoun Sirmakes.
A real collaboration, not a logo deal
The Challenge K. Khachanov line started with a 55-piece aluminium edition priced at USD 19,800. The Carbon is effectively “Chapter II”: Cvstos describes it as a deliberate evolution rather than a colourway refresh, trading the original blue-and-silver palette and blue PVD bridges for a darker, more technical identity worked out with the player himself.
The watch
- Case: layered carbon-fibre composite, tonneau-shaped, 53.70 mm × 41 mm, and around 50 grams on the wrist
- Construction: Grade 5 titanium screws and a screw-down crown with Cvstos’s proprietary pattern, box sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, and an open sapphire case back
- Movement: in-house calibre CVS610 — hand-wound, fully skeletonised, 21,600 vph, 60-hour power reserve, with ruthenium-treated, hand-bevelled bridges; hours and minutes only
- Strap: high-resistance technical textile, finished with the signature red crown ring

Limited to 100 pieces
The Challenge Purity K. Khachanov Carbon is a limited edition of 100 pieces for the entire world, priced at USD 24,000. It is also one of Cvstos’s entries at the 2026 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, where it is competing in the Sports category.
For a brand of Cvstos’s size, having its athlete-designed watch on court through the second week of a Grand Slam — on a genuine semi-finalist — is about as good as product placement gets.
